  • How much does it cost to hire event staff?

    Staffing costs vary based on your guest count, service style, and event timeline. Whether you need a few extra servers for a private dinner or a full team for a large wedding or corporate event, we'll build a staffing plan that fits your event and budget.


    For weddings, many couples find it helpful to budget approximately $12–$25 per guest for professional event staffing. For example, a 100-guest wedding may require an investment of roughly $1,200–$2,500, depending on the level of service, number of staff needed, and the length of the event.


    A simple reception with a small service team will typically fall near the lower end of that range, while a formal wedding with bartenders, service staff, kitchen support, and extended event coverage will fall toward the higher end.

  • Do you charge for setup and breakdown time?

    Yes. Professional event staff arrive before guests to ensure everything is fully prepared and running smoothly before the event begins.


    Most events include approximately 90 minutes of setup time and 60 minutes of breakdown time. This allows our team to get oriented with the venue, prepare workstations, assist with food and beverage setup, set tables based on your provided layout, and handle important behind-the-scenes details before guests arrive.

  • What does Blue Ridge Event Staffing need from us?

    To ensure your event runs smoothly, our team will need:


    • A clean, well-lit workspace with access to water
    • Appropriate catering and bar equipment for your menu and service style
    • Adequate trash receptacles and disposal access
    • Event details such as timelines, menus, and floor plans in advance

    For bartender staffing, a bar station must be available at the venue or included in your rental order.


    For weddings and larger events, we strongly recommend having a day-of coordinator or planner to help manage timelines, vendors, and event flow.

  • What about tipping?

    Gratuity is never required, but always appreciated. For bartenders and wait staff, we typically recommend 15-20% for exceptional service.


    Tips can be given directly to the event captain at the end of the event or added in advance during final payment.

  • What areas do you serve?

    We do not provide rental services. However, we're always happy to share recommendations and insights based on our experience working weddings and events throughout Western North Carolina.


    For rental planning and coordination, we recommend working directly with your rental company, planner, or caterer. They can help determine exactly what items you'll need and manage the logistics of delivery, setup, and pickup.


    Our specialty is providing professional service, bar, and kitchen staff, allowing us to focus on what we do best while ensuring you receive expert guidance from the right rental professionals.

  • Do you offer food and beverage delivery for events?

    Yes. We can coordinate pickup and delivery of catering orders, beverages, and event supplies to your venue.


    Whether you need simple delivery, buffet setup, or full event staffing, our team can help ensure everything arrives on time and is set up smoothly for your event.


    We regularly coordinate with caterers, venues, and event timelines to make delivery and setup as seamless as possible.

  • Do you offer event planning?

    We are not event planners, but we work closely with many excellent planners throughout Western North Carolina and are always happy to collaborate as part of your event team.


    For clients who are not working with a planner, we’re happy to offer guidance based on our experience in event execution and staffing. However, we do not provide full planning services or replace the role of a professional event planner.


    Our focus is on ensuring you have the appropriate staffing support to execute your event successfully, including the right number of service, bar, and kitchen staff tailored to your guest count and event style.
