Blue Ridge Event Staffing is here to help hosts turn their pick up catering into fully catered affairs. We arrange pick up with your vendor, deliver the food to your venue, set up for the service style desired, and make sure your venue or home are left as we found them.

After placing your order with your preferred caterer give us a call us to discuss your timeline and event needs and we will help set you up the correct amount of staff for your unique event. Blue Ridge Event Staffing works closely with the your caterer to verify menus, arrange pick-up times, determine rental if contracted. Together we ensure the food service for your event is just like the experience with a full service caterer.

Decoding Your Proposal
When you receive a proposal you will see a few different roles listed. Let’s break down what it all means.
Captains
Our captains are essentially waiters in a supervisory position. They are our senior wait staff who have worked many weddings and events. They are the point person between BRES staff and your event manager/planner. Captains will coordinate with your planner upon arrival and get pertinent details about your set-up, breakdown, and timeline. Each event with wait staff will have a captain.
Waiters
Before The Event
Waiters will plan to meet the delivery driver and assist with loading in food to the venue. They will set-up a single or double sided buffet, or assist in getting food ready for a family style or plated and served meal, as directed. Wait Staff can assist in setting up and serving stationed or tray passed hors d’oeuvres and desserts. They can take a dining room from bare tables and chairs to completely set tables, given a template. Although our waiter staff are not floral designers, they are happy to set constructed floral and table numbers (given a map). However, they will not be able to assist in arranging flowers or the assembly of decor or gift bags. For more info on staff duties, please refer to our Scope of Service.
During The Event
Wait Staff are on hand to ensure that the food tables remain tidy, plates and implements available, and your guests attended to. During the event they will be busing tables as necessary, assisting guests and making sure your food and non-alcoholic beverages remain stocked and tidy.
After The Event
As your event winds down wait staff will be seeing to food and beverage trash, making sure rentals are processed and ready for pick-up and that your venue is restored to its original condition. Leaving your venue in good shape aids in ensuring the return of your deposit.

Kitchen Support Staff
We will generally quote at least one kitchen support staffer for every event. They are essentially, simply, another waiter. However, having this designation allows us to ensure that one of your staffers has experience as a prep or line cook. We find that making sure a kitchen support staff is part of the team creates a well rounded skill set ensuring that our team is ready to handle anything that your event may need.
A Dedicated Dishwasher is a great addition to the team when your are hosting any event at your own home or at a vacation rental. Dishwashers are also imperative if you plan to use vintage china or vintage glassware. Many of these items are hand wash only. You also may need a dishwasher if your venue is providing glassware and plates, but not the staff to process them. This is common with Vacation Rentals and some other unconventional venues.
Need Rental for your Buffet?
BRES also offers a Rental Consultation to assist party planners in ordering the correct catering equipment necessary to set your buffet table. Our office staff will review your menu and help you ensure that there are enough chafers, serving bowls and platters and utensils to serve everything on your menu. We will provide you with a complete list and you will be able to call the order in to the rental company, or add it to an existing order.
BRES also offer Disposable Catering Equipment. We will construct a package of bowls, platters, and chafers that suit your menu.
